Mug of smear-glazed stoneware and moulded in relief and decorated with applied figures of revelling bacchanals. The body is almost cylindrical and with a loop handle in the form of a vine stem. Circular foot. Based on the 'Bacchanalian Revel before a Herm of Pan' by Nicholas Poussin, and the reverse shows a scene taken from 'Drunken Silenus' by Peter Paul Rubens.
